Monday morning the French Federation of Basketball announced that point guard Andrew Albicy has been medically cleared to rejoin the senior national team.
Albicy had been on the shelf for the past three weeks due to a thigh injury. His return to the team now swells the roster to 13 , meaning there will have to be at least one player trimmed to comply with FIBA rules, which allows for 12 players. There is also hope that center Moustapha Fall can rejoin the team; he was initially cut because of an injury.

Heading into the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers ,the ”Blues” will host the Czech Republic Wednesday, followed by a trip to Sarajevo on Saturday to take on Bosnia-Herzegovina.
From September 1-7 France will compete in Group B of EuroBasket which will be held in Cologne. In addition to host nation Germany, France will have to contend with Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania and Hungary, all vying for the too four slots to guarantee their berth in the elimination stage in Berlin.
